§ 1-8. Effect of repeal.

Latest version.

The repeal of an ordinance or portion of this Code shall not revive any ordinance or portion of this Code in force before or at any time the provision repealed took effect. The repeal of an ordinance or a portion of this Code shall not affect any punishment or penalty incurred before the repeal took effect, nor any suit, prosecution or proceeding pending at the time of the repeal for an offense committed under the provision repealed.
